About the role: We are looking for a team member who loves Interior Design! Who wants to learn and understand how a showroom operates on a day-to-day basis. You will learn about finding the appropriate fabric for an application, selling our product, what designers needs and wants are, how to find the perfect options for a project. You will also learn how important it is to be able to communicate with designers and network with them. Daily tasks will be filing memos, hanging new product, taking down discontinued product, and supporting our sales staff.
Responsibilities:
Maintain product knowledge and work closely with staff
Assist designers find appropriate product for their current projects
Check pricing and stock
Hang new product
Take down discontinued product
Follow vendor rotations
Pull memos
Organize Memo Room
Fill fridge with water help take out garbage
Help when needed on showroom floor
Paid position at $13.50 per hour

About the role: We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing personality who is customer service driven who has knowledge of selling fabric, trimmings, wallcoverings, window coverings and has a passion with the interiors. This is a sales position that will focus on updating libraries, showing newest collections and assist designers with their projects needs. The territory consists of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Maintain product knowledge and work closely with vendors
Leader in selling the brands represented
Accountable for vendor accountability duties

Assist designers find appropriate product for their current projects
Attend vendor sales meetings
Pull memos
Answer phone calls and email
Cross sell fabric, trimming and wallpaper

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Specifying products for today’s residential and commercial applications is dependent on integrating all individuals and facets involved in product design and delivery to ensure the project is completed on time, on budget, and in a sustainable manner.
In this course, participants will learn about the complex infrastructure of a modern business-to-business supply chain, how that infrastructure brings an item to life from inception to shelf, and the best practices for writing a sustainable, value-added interior design specification for residential and commercial projects.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will:
· Gain a deeper understanding of the many facets of a standard, modern, and sustainable business-to-business supply chain, how the supply chain is dependent on each and be able to use this knowledge to source product that is designed, manufactured and delivered sustainably, on time and within budget.
· Learn how product is brought to market, from initial conception/design to inventoried stock, including timeline to create, produce, and receive in goods, and be able to bring the context of this product journey and value when writing an interior design specification.
· Gain an understanding of and appreciation for the many relationships which successfully bring product to life and to market, the unique position of those relationships within the supply chain, and be able to use this knowledge to increase clients’ understanding of why certain products are specified.
· Dissect the lifecycle of an item, what factors contribute to items’ longevity or discontinuation, and be able to apply this information when procuring goods for a design project, to meet a successful installation.
